OPERATION PRINCIPLE

The Rotary Air Preheater is connected to channels of hot flue gas from the boiler and cold air from the environment, which are arranged in such a way that half of the rotor is within the flue gas channel, and the other half within the air channel. The gases move in opposite directions. Hot flue gas heats part of the rotor while passing through the Rotary Air Preheater (transfers heat energy to the heating elements). Then the rotation of the rotor causes the hot sections to run into the air flowing from the opposite direction, and transfer to it heat energy to the air. After passing through the rotor, the hot air is directed to the boiler as combustion air, and cooled flue gas is directed further to the purification system before entering into the atmosphere.
